Your cloud environment does not stand still.

Your organization changes. So does the way your applications are used and what cloud platforms make possible. An environment that was a good fit before may no longer be the best fit today.

What would better look like for you?

$

Could our cloud bill be lower?

◔

Could our application respond faster?

⚙

Could changes take less effort?

↕

Can our capacity adjust to demand?

◇

Could the environment handle failures better?

⌾

Could it be more secure?

…

Your answer tells us where to start

We begin with the improvement you want to see.

You may be looking for lower costs, better performance, stronger security, greater reliability, capacity that follows demand or less day-to-day effort. Several priorities may matter at the same time, and they can affect one another.

We then agree which part of the environment we will examine and which outcomes, priorities and boundaries matter.

We look at what is actually happening: how the environment is used, where costs arise, where time or capacity is lost and which technical or operational dependencies play a part. We compare the current situation with what you want the environment to do better.

We then examine which changes are possible, what effect they are likely to have, what they would cost and what risks they would introduce. The result is a set of findings and well-founded recommendations. Where change is justified, we turn those recommendations into a prioritized improvement plan.

What you receive

Work you can make decisions with.

The findings, recommendations and any improvement plan can be the final result of the engagement. You can take the work forward with your own team, ask another party to implement it or ask CS Infostructure for a separate implementation proposal.

01

What we found

02

Which improvements, if any, we recommend

03

Why we recommend them

04

What benefits we expect

05

The costs, risks and dependencies involved

06

Where testing would reduce uncertainty before rollout

07

Whether the expected benefit justifies making a change at all

Where we recommend changes, the improvement plan puts them in a practical order and identifies the decisions and dependencies involved.

Reduce uncertainty

Test before you decide.

When the outcome of a proposed change is uncertain, testing is better than guessing. We may recommend a controlled test before a full rollout.

If you want us to help design or carry out that test, we agree that work separately.

A valid conclusion

Sometimes leaving it alone is the right outcome.

Not every possible improvement is worth the cost, risk or disruption. If none of the available changes offers sufficient benefit, that is a valid conclusion too.

How we begin

A conversation, then a clear proposal.

In an initial conversation, we discuss what you want the environment to do better and which part of the cloud environment may need to be examined. There is no charge for this conversation.

You then receive a proposal setting out what we will examine, what we will deliver, which information and access we will need, how long we expect the work to take and what the engagement will cost.
